WDCAR's REALTOR® of the Year
Congratulations to Elizabeth Blakeslee, GRI, who has been chosen as WDCAR's REALTOR® of the Year for 2009! Elizabeth, of Coldwell Banker on K Street in DC, has a long history of leadership and involvement in WDCAR and GCAAR, as well as NAR. She served as WDCAR President in 2005. In addition to serving on the WDCAR Board of Directors, Elizabeth has served on the following committees: Public Policy, RPAC, Independent Expenditures, and the Nominating Committee. She has also served on GCAAR's Public Policy, Nominating and Grievance committees. At NAR, Elizabeth has worn many hats, ranging from Regional Vice President to DC Federal Political Coordinator. She has also served on the Board of Directors and Executive Risk Management, Political Involvement, and MLS Issues and Policies committees.
Elizabeth is widely quoted in the media-CNN, MSNBC, WUSA-TV, the Washington Post and the Washington Business Journal, among others. Her community involvement includes her having established the Orange Hat Neighborhood Anti-Crime Patrol and service on the Washington Convention Center Authority Advisory Committee, Mount Vernon Advisory Committee, Logan Circle Community Association, and more.
